Shaviram is a private equity investment group established in 2013, who have transformed both residential and commercial investment properties into state-of-the-art developments.

The client identified a gap in the market for apartments offering luxury, open-plan living in the city of Oxford. They needed a turnkey construction contractor who could fulfil the entire works package from groundworks to fit-out, whilst delivering an exceptional quality finish throughout.

The DRG solution

DRG worked closely with the client to deliver the brief, repurposing the existing low-rise buildings into 134 modern, high-specification one and two-bedroom apartments. Work commenced with a full strip-out, including the demolition of the extension link between the two buildings. The roof was made good, spandrel panels and new glazing were added, and façade and cladding work was undertaken to bring the external envelope in line with current compliance.

Internally, partition walls and new doors were installed throughout to create the individual apartments. Kitchens were finished to an exacting specification, with Hotpoint appliances, large contemporary sinks with monobloc mixer taps, plus glass splashbacks and premium dark grey worktops. Bathrooms included chrome mixer taps, semi-recessed handwash basins and thermostatic shower valves.

Drainage work was undertaken to ensure the site did not experience any issues with waterlogging, with steps and ramps added throughout the grounds to navigate level changes. External lighting, grass and planting completed the project.
