Shaviram is a private equity investment group established in 2013, who have transformed both residential and commercial investment properties into state-of-the-art developments.

The client identified a gap in the market for apartments offering luxury living in Camberley, Surrey – a bustling town with many transport connections to Guildford and London. They needed a turnkey construction contractor who could fulfil the entire works package, delivering an exceptional quality of finish throughout. All apartments were to feature modern appliances, open-plan living spaces and carefully curated fixtures and fittings, with the building itself offering secure covered car parking with electric car charging points.

The DRG solution

DRG worked closely with the client to deliver the brief, project managing the entire process, which began with a complete strip-out, along with ground surveys to check for any contamination due to the site’s previous use as a garage. Drainage was updated, and the roof and car park beneath the structure were made good. The existing windows were removed, replaced with new glazing and spandrel panels, and refuge areas and a cycle store were built.

Internally, lifts were replaced, and partition walls and doors were added, creating 78 apartments. Kitchens were finished to an exacting specification, with integrated appliances, large contemporary sinks and mixer taps, and premium worktops. Bathrooms included chrome mixer taps, modern handwash basins, heated towel rails and LED mirrors with shaver sockets. Landscaping was also undertaken around the front entrance.

The entire project was completed within 12 months, meaning the client was able to begin marketing the new apartments rapidly.
